We Did the Dash

6.16.13 Channahon, Illinois
To celebrate our first anniversary, and the longest year of our lives, we ran the Warrior Dash. Jon and Teddy came up to run it with us. Jon said it was more difficult than the one he and Teddy did in North Texas. In almost three full miles of mud, I lost traction and ate it around ten to fifteen times. The final quarter mile was a 45 degree muddy incline we had to scale with ropes.

For those of you who perhaps live in a cave and have never heard of the Warrior Dash:

Unfortunately, we have no pictures of the race, but we got some befores and afters in various combinations:

Before

A Note on Attire:
We wore the Don't Panic shirts that we bought to wear on our wedding weekend, so many moths ago. Jon and Teddy wore We Are OK shirts they bought for this race. Proceeds went to help the tornado victims in Moore.

After

And the Victory Shots:

Some more pictures taken during the race should come online by Tuesday on the Warrior Dash site. If I find any of us, I'll post them.
